Advanced hydrogen leak detection for industrial applications

16 Oct, 2025

Reliable leak detection remains essential for maintaining efficiency, safety, and sustainability across industrial operations. INFICON’s Sensistor Sentrac uses hydrogen tracer gas technology to accurately localise leaks, even in locations where background gases often complicate measurements. With high selectivity and sensitivity, the system can detect both small and large leaks in conditions that might otherwise hinder accuracy, such as areas with elevated VOC levels.

The Sentrac is built with usability in mind. A large, high-resolution touchscreen offers excellent visibility in different lighting conditions and makes setup easier through an intuitive interface. Clear feedback and logical menu navigation allow operators to perform leak detection with minimal training, supporting productivity in the field or lab.

The ergonomically engineered Strix® hand probe further enhances operator capability, combining a multi-function control button, integrated lighting, and real-time LCD readouts directly at the point of inspection. Available in desktop, panel, and portable versions, the Sentrac offers flexibility for manual or automated use, strengthening predictive maintenance and quality assurance policies across sectors that depend on accurate gas monitoring.
