SMART 3 Blizzard, Sensitron’s latest refrigerant gas detector equipped with an infrared sensor and managed through the advanced SENSE interface, is now officially available for purchase, offering operators a safer, smarter and more efficient way to monitor gas leaks.

It introduces an innovative combination that merges the precision of IR technology with the convenience of wireless management. Suitable for use in machinery rooms, laboratories and non-classified areas, the detector ensures reliable, long-term monitoring of refrigerant gases such as R32, R454B, R410A, R1234YF, R1234ZE, R134A, and R404A.

Thanks to its infrared sensing element, the detector guarantees stable and accurate measurements over time, remaining immune to sensor poisoning and external interferences. The unit features 4 smart LEDs and an internal buzzer providing clear visual and acoustic indications of operational status, fault or alarm conditions. With its robust IP54-rated polycarbonate housing, compact dimensions and flexible mounting options, SMART 3 Blizzard offers exceptional reliability and ease of installation.

Control and calibration are performed through the wireless SENSE interface, accessible via PC, tablet or smartphone: no need to open the detector or interrupt operations. SENSE is available in six languages (Italian, English, German, Spanish, Arabic and Chinese) and allows users to configure alarm thresholds, check device status, perform non-intrusive calibrations, download status and technical reports, access the calibration certificate and even update firmware wireless. A customizable password ensures secure access to all functions.
