Oxford residents have only a few days left to have their say on proposed plans to improve the area's
air quality.
Last month, West Oxfordshire District Council released its Draft Witney
Air Quality Action Plan, which sets out the local authority's intentions to reduce pollution in the region.
Residents have been able to comment on the proposals throughout February 2011 and have a few days left until all ideas need to be submitted to the council, as the consultation will close next Monday (February 28th 2011).
Councillor David Harvey, cabinet member for the environment at the local authority, has encouraged people who live or work in the region to give their views on the draft action plan.
Two areas which need particular attention are Bridge Street in Witney and Horsefair and High Street Chipping Norton.
Witney and Chipping Norton have both been declared
Air Quality Management Areas for their high levels of nitrogen dioxide.
