MRU (Germany) SWG100 Biogas is a stationary analyser offering continuous gas measurement from biogas AD plants, landfill sites, waste water treatment plants, CHP engines and bio-methane skids. The SWG 100 Biogas has been successfully installed in many countries worldwide, all of these installations are assured of fast, professional assistance from MRU’s trained personnel.

MRU designed the SWG 100 Biogas with the view of obtaining accurate measurements in the toughest of conditions. The analyser is housed in an IP54 rated, aluminium cabinet, coated with corrosion-proof lacquer. The SWG100 continuously monitors its fan’s ventilation of the cabinet and has a gas flow restrictor orifice at the gas inlet to ensure that internal housing is safe. An additional methane detector inside the cabinet is a further safeguard of operating conditions. An electric gas cooler complete with automatic condensate draining pump is incorporated in to the unit to further increase the analyser’s accuracy and operational performance.

Solenoid valves are installed for an ‘auto-zero’ and ‘auto-calibration’ setting, as well as a sample gas pump with internal sample flow monitoring with a display and alarm. The analyser can sample anywhere between -300mbar up to +300mbar pressure. Operators can take both continuous and discontinuous readings, the analyser features pressure and temperature compensation and event data logging capabilities. SWG100 Biogas can monitor up to 10 sites, based on a time sharing method and takes very little effort to install and service.

A more simple, low cost model for interval sampling of dry gas is also available and an ATEX “Ex-nA” certified version, mounted inside stainless steel IP65 protected cabinet is available as well.
