Advances in vapour filtration lead to cleaner air and cleaner measurements

04 Nov, 2026

The °Catalytic Vapor Filter (CVF) from Catalytic Instruments is trusted worldwide by public laboratories, universities, and industrial users for creating a safer and cleaner laboratory environment. Designed for indoor use, the system effectively removes 99.9% of butanol and isopropyl vapours, reducing unpleasant odours while minimising the risk of cross-sensitivity in sensitive measurements. The system is available for single-CPC installations, with higher-capacity configurations also available to serve multiple CPC units.

These vapour filters oxidise volatile compounds such as butanol into CO₂ and H₂O, providing a stable, contaminant-free environment for Condensation Particle Counter operation. Compact and engineered for long-term performance, the CCVF100 is ideal for individual CPC systems, while the CVF400-V supports multi-CPC setups. Both models can be easily integrated into existing measurement systems, including remote survey and control applications. Catalytic Instruments’ expert team supports customers in selecting and implementing the right solutions, ensuring seamless performance for a wide range of aerosol measurement needs.
