Already – four months ahead of the start – a whole host of key players from around the globe have signed up to exhibit at IE expo, China’s leading environmental technology trade show, which takes place from May 20 to 22, 2014, at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). The high level of registrations from international companies has been prompted not least by the resounding success of last year’s trade show and good post-show business in China.

"As a result of our participation in the show in 2013 we had over 150 promising inquiries for our analysis instruments, controllers and conductivity measuring instruments. This positive response to our products shows us that we are indeed meeting the needs of the Chinese market", is how Marc Osterwald, Managing Director of Heyl Neomeris, reported on the satisfactory result of last year’s event. 2013 was the second time this German company had taken part in the International Trade Fair for Water, Sewage, Refuse, Recycling, Air Pollution Control and Energy Conservation.

Lin Guo, Deputy Managing Director of Eriez Magnetics (Shanghai) Ltd., also values the importance of China’s leading environmental technology show for his business: "We are very satisfied with IE expo, which provides us with good services. The visitors coming every year are very professional. It is a very good trade business platform for us."

The status of IE expo as China’s largest forum for the environmental technology sector is also underlined by Kevin Lv, Sales Director at National Recovery Technologies: "We have taken part in IE expo, or IFAT CHINA as it was, more than three times already. This show has always proved to be an excellent basis for an expert and professional network. At the event in 2013 we again made many useful contacts for potential new business."

Here are just some of the international exhibitors that at this stage – four months before the start of the show – have already registered to take part in IE expo 2014: Andritz (CHINA) Ltd., Avian (Shanghai) Machinery Co. Ltd., Bilfinger Passavant Water Technologies (Hangzhou) Co. Ltd., Degremont Technologies China, Dowa Environmental Engineering (Suzhou) Co. Ltd., Grundfos Pumps (Shanghai) Co. Ltd., Pellenc selective technologies, Shanghai Masteck Ecology Science and Technology Co. Ltd., Titech China, Wilo China Ltd. and Xylem.

In 2013 IE expo attracted 834 exhibitors (+11% as compared to 2012) and approximately 33,000 visitors (+25% as compared to 2012).
