Titan Enterprises have seen a significant rise in demand for their flowmeters, for use within smart water systems, from manufacturers of domestic and commercial water consuming appliances.

As water consumption rises, so does the demand for smart water flow systems equipped with Titan’s liquid flow sensors. These liquid flow sensors help the smart water manage demand through monitoring consumption, thus improving water conservation. Manufacturers of kitchen and bathroom water consuming appliances need a simple and accurate method of water intake measurement and control and including precise and reliable flowmeters helps significantly in defending against the rising threats to worldwide water security.

The Titan water flow monitoring instruments have been tried and tested over the years and are renown for robustness and accuracy, which are 2 attributes that are crucial to a smart water system. One satisfied customer, from Miele, said “Water intake is measured and controlled extremely precisely using a precision flowmeter. This helps to save water, making it extremely economical and environmentally friendly”.

Titan’s Senior Research and Development Engineer, Neil Hannay stated,  "Titan’s turbine flow meters are industry proven flow devices utilising sapphire bearings for long life and reliability. These simple flow monitoring devices are well suited for installation into systems that require long term repeat dosing, batch filling or dispensing of liquids – including clean water or dirty wastewater. This makes Titan turbine flow meters an ideal low-cost OEM component for integration into, for example, industrial washing machines, to monitor water efficiency.”

Titan’s Atrato, featuring their patented ultrasonic flow technology, offers a level of precision more accurate than +/-1.0% covering an extensive flow range. These ultrasonic flow sensors operate using high frequency sound waves to improve the reliability and extend low flow accuracy. The Atrato has a high turndown ratio allowing it to work on flow rates exceeding a range of 200:1. With no moving parts, the Altrato is resilient with almost zero mechanical wear and, with its clen bore construction, an ideal solution for use in a wide range of clean and dirty water use scenarios. These flow sensors include a USB port to enable software to be integrated as a component of a smart water metering program.
