Titan Enterprises’ range of insertion turbine flowmeters in large pipes with diameters of 40 – 900 millimetres are a marriage of contemporary design and materials with tried and tested technology.
The hard-wearing PVDF turbine, with innovative aerofoil shaped blades which increase the flowmeter’s dynamic range, rotates smoothly on the 316 stainless-steel shaft. The linearity of these insertion turbine flowmeters is enhanced by the contoured design of the housing which is particularly advantageous in pipelines with a low fluid velocity. These flowmeters are installed via the side of the pipeline through a 1.5" BSP or NPT fitting and there are models for ‘hot-tap’ pressurised line insertions.
The insertion flowmeter body is made of AISI316 stainless-steel with 3 metres of 5-core screened instrument cable included in the standard package. Every Titan insertion turbine flowmeter incorporates 2 sensors, the first is self-powered for battery operated units as well as an open-collector transmitter. These flowmeters are available with a directly mounted battery and a powered display unit which indicates ‘flow rate’ and ‘total’ along with digital and analogue outputs.
