Even better value from new leachate pumps

More spec. and a 5-year warranty at the same price! That’s the upgrade news on the new AP4+ pneumatic landfill leachate pumps from Geotech. Now made of stainless steel with engineering-strength plastic, AP4+ pumps are even easier to strip, clean and re-assemble. The warranty increases to five years from three, reflecting the already value-giving proven performance of these renowned air-powered, ATEX Zone 0 certified AutoPumps. The improvements extend the service lifetime of the pump and broaden the range of its applications in extreme environmental conditions in landfill and remediation. Bottom or top-fill, the 9.1cm diameter submersible pumps are from 70 cm to 131 cm long and offer a maximum flow of 26.5-69 l/m at depths of 76m with actuation levels from 39-113cm depending on model.

Material benefits

All internal non-metallic parts are now made with PVDF, a high-grade engineering plastic used for its increased strength at high temperatures and broader resistance to chemicals, including the acidic and oxidising cleaning products used during maintenance. All stainless steel parts have been upgraded to 304 grade for its improved resistance to corrosion. The standard top-filling pinned wye fitting is made of another high-performance plastic, acetal. These new materials help the pumps perform even more reliably in challenging environments.

Easy clean

Three bolts now attach the pump inlet and when undone, open up the pump. That makes the AP4+ pump easier to clean particularly under harsh condition use. It is clearly easier than the previous method of rotating the inlet to unthread it from the centre tube inside the pump. The casing has a much smoother internal surface with the added benefit of slowing solids coating and build-up. Easy fittings also make it quick and simple to remove the tubing from the pump without any cutting, and the float is now easily removed with a clip.
