Pulsar Process Measurement, specialists in level and flow measurement and control, are launching two new product lines at WWEM on stand 97. Flow Pulse, a radical new idea in non-invasive flow measurement for pipes, and dBi Intelligent Transducers featuring the HART digital communications protocol. Interface Monitor Sludge Finder 2 gets a key new feature and Pulsar will also demonstrate market leading Quantum 2 intelligent pump control and open channel flow monitor FlowCERT.

Flow Pulse is a small, clamp-on sensor that is easily fitted to the outside of virtually any type of pipe, and provides repeatable and reliable flow measurement. With no civil engineering or process disruption during installation, Flow Pulse is an attractive, maintenance-free alternative to a MagFlow meter. Flow Pulse will be in ‘live’ demonstration at WWEM, so visitors will be able to see the new equipment in action and bring any application questions they have to the team.

Non-contacting, ultrasonic dBi intelligent transducers make use of the popular HART programming protocol to provide reliable measurement over a range of 125mm to 15m. Self-contained and reliable, easily programmed via a hand-held controller, a PC or existing site HART equipment, they can operate as low-power, stand-alone measuring devices or be incorporated into a wider multi-drop scheme. A version operating under the Profibus PA protocol will be available soon.

Pulsar’s well established Sludge Finder 2 interface monitor gains an update in time for WWEM. The device will now measure two interface levels from its single, self-cleaning transducer, making it perfect for both RAS and FLOC level measurement.

In addition, Pulsar will be showing their Intelligent Pump Control unit, Quantum, featuring unique energy saving controls and specialist functions that reduce engineer site visits and warn on ‘time to spill’ at critical sites. Also on display will be Pulsar’s MCERTs Class One open channel flow monitor FlowCERT with the amazing DUET transducer array.
