Banner Engineering’s (Belgium) Serial Data Radio is a wireless industrial communication device designed to support communication protocols using RS-232 or RS-485. Used as cable replacement to extend the range of a serial network, the SureCross Serial Radio is a cost effective way to connect remote serial devices to a SCADA or PLC over a maximum distance of 3 km. No software is required to set up a wireless network, making installation an easy step. Each model can be selected to be a master, slave, or a repeater and the radios work in point-to-point, star, and tree radio network topologies.
