Industrial emissions
Sfera Technology srl has unveiled its latest innovation for PFAS emission monitoring: a complete sampling line designed to comply with Other Test Method 45 (OTM 45). The system combines advanced engineering with operator-friendly design, ensuring both reliability and precision in the field.
At the heart of the solution is the GHIBLI heated probe with a titanium sampling line, supported by a dedicated condenser developed to meet the requirements of the method. The setup also features a cold box for impingers, refrigerated by Sfera’s BURAN cooling system, and the MACH 5 Evolution, an automatic isokinetic sampler that provides consistent performance across a wide range of operating conditions.
The sampling train has been carefully designed without PTFE parts, and avoids fragile spherical or conical glass joints. Instead, screw joints with GL-thread and PFAS-free gaskets guarantee airtight connections, reducing the risk of damage caused by vibration during use.
One of the standout elements of the system is the extendable telescopic rod, which supports the cold box and offers significant practical advantages. It eliminates the need for operators to adapt glassware for each sampling position, and allows easy adjustment of the probe regardless of the distance between the sampling port and the work platform.
With this integrated solution, Sfera Technology is helping laboratories and field teams meet the growing demand for accurate, standard-compliant PFAS monitoring.
