Stack monitoring
The automatic isokinetic samplers belonging to the MACH series from Sfera Technology srl. represent the ultimate solution for stack testing, ensuring full compliance with the current regulatory standards.
Thanks to a quick and accurate electronic flow rate adjustment, these instruments ensure optimal isokinetic conditions for sampling pollutants like particulate matter (PM), PAHs/dioxins, PFAS, mercury, heavy metals, and acids (including side-stream method). The versatility of this series also encompasses the ambient air sampling applications, where the flow rate is kept constant by automatically compensating for pressure drop.
Technological innovation is provided through flexible and application-specific hardware configurations. While the basic model requires an external manometer to allow the reading of temperature and pressure, the more advanced version named “EVOLUTION” features built-in sensors for the direct acquisition of the stack parameters.
The RS-485 serial bus communication allows direct adjustment of the set temperatures for the GHIBLI heated probe and filter box. Furthermore, when a compatible flue gas analyser is connected to the sampler, the data will be used to recalculate the isokinetic flow rate based on real-time fluctuations of O2 and CO2
Engineered to meet demanding, real-world field requirements, the MACH series features a robust yet compact structural design, making it ideal for sampling platforms with limited working space. With a low weight ranging between 11 and 14 kg combined with a highly ergonomic layout, it optimises handling at height and significantly eases instrument transport even under the harshest industrial conditions.
The sampler is available with either a 3.6m³/h diaphragm pump or a 5m³/h rotary vane pump.
Every parameter is clearly shown on the high-contrast 4.3” TFT graphic display, which is optimised for outdoor use.
Each sensor of the instruments is easily accessible by the user when calibration checks are required.
Every second all sensor logs are stored in an internal memory. They will be available together with the mean values to be transferred to USB pen drive.
Power supply flexibility is equally outstanding: in addition to mains power grid, the MACH 5 series support a lithium-ion (LiFePo4) POWERBANK, allowing time-demanding sampling even in tough industrial areas.
