Emissions of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) from industrial chimney are an issue of global importance. VOC emissions are quantified and monitored in accordance with the EN 12619 standard, using a FID analyser which uses hydrogen and other reference gases in pressurised cylinder. Operators must then reach the sampling point, which is often located several meters from the ground, needing to climb chimney stacks at of industrial plants while carrying instruments and cylinders.
Using the Polaris FID analyser, from Pollution Srl, it is possible to carry out VOC monitoring without lifting accessories and heavy weights typically associated with FID analysers. The Polaris FID analyser complies with EN 12619, but the offers unmatched portability along with next generation technology.
In a compact body is incorporated All of the necessary measurement components are housed within the instrument’s compact body including two rechargeable batteries, zero air and span gas cylinders and a hydrogen storage cartridge.
