MGS Technology introduces a new generation of ultra-low power NDIR gas sensors: family of sensors MIPEX-05, which combines the standard size of the 4th series of MIPEX-02 family and ultra-low power consumption of MIPEX-04 family of sensors. MIPEX-05 is an ideal solution for portable clip-on detectors and wireless monitoring systems in remote or hard-to-access sites, used in all segments of industrial safety, including oil and gas production, refining, power generation and other areas with potentially explosive atmospheres.

MIPEX-05 is designed for automatic continuous measurement of hydrocarbons and CO2 concentrations in hazardous areas. It has an ultra-low power consumption – less than 0.2 mW. This enables battery-operated devices to function autonomously for years without recharging.

  • CH₄ up to 100% vol. 
  • C₃H₈ up to 20% vol.
  • CO₂ up to 10% vol.

MIPEX-05 ppm C3H8 is a high-sensitivity model created for simultaneous measurement of ppm and LEL concentrations. It is widely used for emission monitoring and health and safety thanks to 10 ppm resolution and 20 ppm low detection limit. Due to low power consumption and high resolution, it allows battery-powered gas detectors to last more than 12 months without charge and detect low concentrations. 

Key advantages of MIPEX-05 ppm:

  • Power consumption - less than 0.5 mW
  • Operating over a wide range with high resolution from 30 ppm to 100% LEL concentration for C₃H₈
  • Long-term measurement stability over 10 years

Dual-wavelength LED technology of MIPEX sensors ensures high measurement reliability and ultra-low power consumption, while the integrated microcontroller provides linearised and temperature-compensated output data. The high stability of MIPEX technology minimises false alarms, preventing unnecessary disruptions and financial losses for industries. MIPEX-05 sensors are certified for intrinsically safe explosion protection (Ex ia I Ma / Ex ia IIC Ga in compliance with IEC 60079-0, IEC 60079-11), conforming to rigorous international regulations for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
