New ‘ATEX Hazardous Area’ Gas Detector Transmitter with Local Display

GDS Technologies Ltd (UK) has further increased its product range with the addition of the XDI-Win Gas Detector transmitter. The XDI Detector offers cover for Flammable, Oxygen and Toxic gases utilising either Catalytic, Infra-Red or Electrochemical sensor devices.

The XDI-Win features a 2 line back lit LCD display indicating; gas type, concentration, sensor ID and alarm / inhibit status. Set up is by standard RS232 hyper-terminal communication, non- intrusive magnet or IR adjustment. Sensors may be positioned remotely up to 100 metres away from the transmitter, offering visibility to plant personnel while monitoring the target area.   Outputs are 4~20mA suitable for third party or GDS controllers and CAN bus enabling up to 64 sensors to be addressed by the latest GDS combi controller a key factor of which is comprehensive data logging of all sensors.   The XDI enclosure is offered in three finish levels – standard aluminium epoxy coated, aluminium marine grade and stainless steel.
