MRU (Germany) has launched the trend setting technology Optima 7, a hand-held flue gas analyser using up to 7 sensors for direct and simultaneous measurement of O2, CO, NO, NO2, SO2, H2S and CO2.

The new instrument is ideally used for short control measurements of flue gas emissions at difficult to access sampling points (e.g. high altitude stacks) of all industrial sites.

Packed in a modern designed, roughed enclosure with user friendly, washable keypad, with total weight less than 800g, Optima 7 includes a super bright, colour 3,5” TFT display with LED backlight, menu guided software and function keys, making it easy to read and use. An effective, LED backlit condensate trap with reusable Teflon coated filter also enhances the simplicity of Optima 7. Instrument includes a USB connector for cable data transfer and Bluetooth device for wireless data transfer, IRDA interface for high speed printer as well as a rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery for extended 15 hours mains free operation time.  There is also a SD card included for large data storage and logging, PC software package for cable or wireless data acquisition. The unit’s AUX socket is useful for connection of external HC or CO gas detector, or other external sensors or transmitters.

The Optima 7 can also carry out flue gas velocity measurement using a Pitot tube and emission calculations in mg/Nm3 and mg/sec. This versatile instrument offers a wide range of accessories and gas sampling probe tubes, all packed in a rugged transport case.
