Precise measurement of pollutants in flue gas and process control using infrared technology

22 Jan, 2025

Dr. Foedisch’s MGA 20 analyser precisely monitors up to eight gas components in flue gas and process control applications using highly advanced infrared (IR) absorption technology. Furthermore, the analyser can be configured for oxygen measurement with an electrochemical cell, zirconium dioxide sensor, or paramagnetic sensor. The system is QAL1 certified and meets DIN EN 15267-1 (2009), DIN EN 15267-2 (2009), and DIN EN 15267-3 (2008) standards (certification in progress).

A key benefit is the automatic zero-point calibration carried out using ambient air. An optional feature is the inclusion of Filtercal technology, which enables reference point adjustments without needing an external gas supply or compressed air.

The MGA 20 has a user-friendly design. It features a 7-inch colour touchscreen display with an intuitive, app-based menu interface. It supports remote operation, enhancing accessibility and convenience for users. An internal pump is included as standard, with the option to install an external pump if required by specific application needs.

With its robust design, the MGA 20 operates reliably within ambient temperatures ranging from 5°C to 40°C, with the capacity to extend to 45°C when installed alongside an air conditioning unit. Precision, adaptability, and user-centric design make the MGA 20 a valuable tool for rigorous pollutant monitoring and process control applications.
