A measurement range has been added to the Vaisala (Finland) CARBOCAP® Carbon Dioxide Probe GMP343. The new 0 ... 2 % range makes this compact field instrument suitable for higher concentration soil research
applications. Additionally, the measurement accuracy has been
improved; giving the GMP343 extended usability in atmospheric
measurement.
The metal-cased GMP343 operates in harsh conditions: in temperatures -40...+60°C (-40...+140 °F) and humidity 0...100 %RH. The GMP343 weighs less than 0.4 kg and consumes less than 1 W of power. The probe uses the unique Vaisala CARBOCAP® silicon-based infrared sensor.
The diffusion-aspirated design eliminates the need for sampling systems and pumps.
In soil respiration box measurement it compensates errors caused by pressure differences often present in pump-aspirated measurement systems. The GMP343 is very stable, less than 1 ppm drift within 6 hours of outdoor use. The warm-up time is short.
The GMP343 can output numerically filtered or raw measurement data.
Additional features include heated optics, compensation possibilities for temperature, relative humidity, pressure and oxygen as well as built-in self-diagnostics. In addition to the diffusion-aspirated version, the GMP343 is available as a flow-through model.
The GMP343 can be used and powered with the portable MI70 indicator for convenient field measurement. Visit: www.vaisala.com/GMP343.new
