The result of a sieve analysis can only be exact and reproducible when using a sieve shaker that fulfils all the necessary technical requirements. The Retsch (Germany) sieve shakers AS 200 and AS 300 of the “control” series meet the demands for worldwide reproducible sieve analyses – even after short sieving times!
The sieve shakers operate with a patented electromagnetic drive that
produces a 3-D throwing motion and causes the spring-mass system to
oscillate, thus giving the clamped sieves a horizontal to and fro movement. The 3-D effect ensures the optimal use of the open sieve area and lets the sample move equally over the whole sieving surface.
Further advantages: high stress capacity, extremely smooth operation,
short sieving times with high separation efficiency, sieving time and
movement can be set digitally and are carried out reproducibly.
The working principle and operation of the RETSCH sieve shakers are now presented in an operation & application video which can be downloaded easily from our website.
RETSCH also provides high-quality analytical sieves in various frame sizes which allow for contamination-free sieving thanks to a manufacturing technique which is unique in the world.
