REMTECH (France), a company established in 1982 was created by a team of highly qualified physicists and engineers willing to further explore the atmospheric boundary layer.

In order to do so, they have developed innovative, reliable and user-friendly state-of the-art instruments: The DOPPLER SODAR system which measures remotely a vertical profile of wind speed, direction, thermal stratification and turbulence parameters up to 400, 700 and 3,000 meters average altitude range depending on Sodar model. The RASS system measures remotely temperature profiles in the atmosphere at an average altitude range of 1,000 meters.

This year celebrating its 30 years of expertise in the sodar wind measurement industry, Remtech introduces the PA-XS sodar that weighs only 7.3 kg and reaches an average altitude range of 400 meters. The new PA-XS can be installed anywhere and thanks to its small power consumption (18W) a solar power system with 1.75 square meter solar panel is sufficient. This wind profiler uses multi-frequency coding and includes the latest hardware design: GPS, digital compass and 2D inclinometer, Wi-Fi, as well as pressure, temperature and humidity measurements. Wireless modem or satellite connections are also available. All the hardware matches military specifications (-40 to +85°C with up to 100% relative humidity) and this ystem is perfectly suited for wind energy, airport and military applications.

Remtech wind measurement systems are now used in over 50 countries worldwide, from Alaska to South Africa and for various applications such as wind energy, on and offshore measurement, meteorological, airports, and military applications.
