Remote monitoring specialist Metasphere (UK) has enjoyed two years of real growth with five new frameworks recently confirmed and more in the pipeline. The company is beefing up its sales and technical capabilities with new appointments and according to CEO, Tim O’Brien, the outlook moving forward is looking very promising.

Sales have increased by 60% (to approx £4M) year on year, doubling the growth of the previous year. This has come from a number of newly won frameworks together with a move into new distribution channels and markets that fall outside, but still complement, the company’s traditional water industry focus.

Newly won RTU (Remote Telemetry Unit) frameworks include one with Yorkshire Water, as part of the company’s standardisation on Metasphere’s mains-powered MM-IM – a large works automation and data gateway – a RTU outstation and PLC in one box. The same product has been supplied with software support for AMP5 to Anglian Water and further afield the company has also won the RTU framework with Sydney Water.

The company’s initial move into newer market areas has been rewarded with the winning of two new energy frameworks with leading energy providers to be announced shortly.
