As water treatment professionals look to high-tech advancements like smart meters and on-line analysers for efficiency and accuracy, they continue to depend on proven simplicity, accuracy, and low cost-per-test colorimetric methods for water analysis.

Colorimetry is used to test for a wide array of analytes. The target analyte causes the sample solution to change colour proportionally to its concentration in the solution, and that change in colour can be measured visually or instrumentally.
