Highly skilled green technology experts will find that the competition to work in the renewable energy sector is set to increase after a recruitment expert gave his
environmental analysis on the issue.
Ben Cartland, associate at green job search firm Acre Resources, said the cap on talented migrant workers in the country will see the competition "intensifying".
He suggested that the next growth in the environmental technologies sector will be when renewable manufacturing sites become more mainstream.
However, Mr Cartland went on to say that this could see those who are involved in the manufacturing industry and not the renewable sector being taken on.
This follows on from John Hayes, skills minister, announcing a National Skills Academy for environmental technologies last week.
It will deliver more than 200,000 training courses over the next five years to help those in the industry have a highly skilled workforce, which will support the government in achieving its renewable energy goals.
