Coldplay has announced it will become patrons of an
environmental legislation group.
Yesterday (November 16th 2010), the rock band revealed they will work with ClientEarth to encourage the update and enforcement of green laws in the UK and Europe.
The group said: "ClientEarth is at the forefront of changing the way the planet's resources are governed.
"It has a positive and pragmatic approach to environmental issues, improving and enforcing environmental law."
ClientEarth's chief executive James Thornton stated that the news is "absolutely fantastic", adding that they will be able to promote and share the issues concerning poor
environmental legislation to a wider public audience.
Coldplay also announced last week they will play two intimate shows in aid of charity Crisis to support homeless people in Britain.
The gigs will be in Liverpool and Newcastle on December 19th and 20th 2010 respectively and sold out on the same day tickets went on sale.
