ENVEA, a global leader in environmental management solutions, will expand Georgia’s national air quality monitoring network in a new joint venture. In partnership with local firm PS Energy, this project will add 10 new state-of-the-art ambient air quality stations – boosting the network’s capacity. This is a major step toward helping the country reach its targets to upgrade the whole network by 2027.
Georgia’s National Environment Agency currently manages 18 air quality monitoring stations. This agreement will see ENVEA supply advanced monitoring hardware and software to PS Energy, which will build and integrate the new monitoring stations. The initiative is working towards the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture and National Environment Agency’s goal to improve the nation’s health and wellbeing.
PS Energy, a Georgian company that’s highly experienced in delivering projects funded through the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), approached ENVEA to create this strategic partnership. Together, they navigated a rigorous and complex tender process, demonstrating their ability to meet and exceed the technical specifications and capabilities of the project.
Carsten Wiedmann, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), commented, “We are excited to be working with PS Energy to support Georgia in enhancing its environmental monitoring network to ensure cleaner air and better health outcomes for its citizens.”
Givi Lomidze, CEO, from PS Energy, says "Following our meeting with Carsten and Ryan Goater, META Sales Director, from ENVEA, and key stakeholders from UNPD and NEA in Tbilisi, we are looking forward to collaborating further to deliver this project. We are all confident the work will significantly improve Georgia's capacity to monitor their air quality."
