EarthSense, a Leicester-based environmental technology company, has been awarded The King’s Award for Enterprise 2026 for International Trade, recognising the company’s sustained global growth and impact in air quality intelligence.
Founded in 2016, EarthSense was established with a mission to make high-quality air-quality intelligence more accessible, helping organisations better understand environmental exposure and support healthier outcomes for communities around the world. Since then, the company has experienced significant international growth, with exports increasing by more than 180% since 2020. EarthSense now supports more than 200 organisations across six continents and has established partnerships in key international markets including Asia-Pacific, India, South Africa and Central America.
EarthSense combines real-time monitoring, advanced modelling and operational analytics through its integrated ecosystem. Its platform brings together high-accuracy air-quality monitoring through Zephyr®, intuitive visualisation through MyAir®, and high-resolution dispersion modelling from MappAir®, helping organisations identify pollution trends, understand exposure and support evidence-based decision-making.
The company’s technology is deployed across a wide range of applications including urban infrastructure, transport networks, construction, ports, industrial operations and smart city projects. One example of EarthSense’s international impact can be seen in Costa Rica, where its monitoring technology supports the National Meteorological Institute (IMN) and wider national air-quality initiatives coordinated by the Ministry of Health, helping deliver trusted environmental insight to support public-health decision-making.
By combining real-time monitoring, advanced modelling and scalable digital technologies, EarthSense is helping organisations access clearer, more actionable air quality insight at local, national and global levels.
As demand for trusted environmental insight continues to grow globally, EarthSense remains focused on expanding its international reach and reinforcing its ambition to become a global leader in air-quality intelligence and environmental insight.
