Ambient air quality

Air pollution is the biggest environmental health risk. To address this problem – to reduce pollution and clean the air – it is important to understand where and how pollution occurs.
Air quality measurements have typically been made with fixed ground-based air monitoring stations, but they have their limitations.
Even though airflow, pollution level, and micro-climates differ significantly from one place to another, these reference level stations can only represent a very local area. Moreover, their high price makes it difficult to establish monitoring networks dense enough to give a comprehensive picture of the situation.
This has created a need for more agile and affordable monitoring solutions.
Vaisala’s (Finalnd) Air Quality Transmitters AQT410 and AQT420 are new, cost-effective solutions for monitoring ambient air pollution. They are quick and easy to install, deploy, and maintain. Perfect for extensive and dense monitoring networks, they provide information that can directly impact our daily lives.
