Ambient air quality

Low-cost sensors for ambient air monitoring.

The National Physical Laboratory (NPL) will be highlighting a number of its services to industry at AQE and providing updates on important research including the use of low-cost sensors in ambient monitoring, and studies on uncertainties of emission reference methods at low concentrations.

NPL is the UK's National Metrology Institute and a world-leading centre of excellence. NPL has a unique combination of knowledge and facilities, covering all the stages – from method/instrument development, laboratory/field validation, CEN/ISO standardisation, dissemination of best practise, through to a comprehensive set of bespoke and ISO 17025 accredited emission measurement services. The knowledge gained from the provision of these services guides future research and development.

Visit the NPL stand (D15 & D16) to find out more or discuss all aspects of air quality and emissions, including remote emission surveys, fugitive emission detection, stack and ambient monitoring and analysis, instrument testing and validation, standardisation, and proficiency testing.
