Ashtead Technology Rentals (UK) is pleased to announce a new rental partnership with Signal Group Ltd to provide the Streetbox ambient air quality monitoring range of products.
Designed primarily for gathering ambient gas and particulate trend information, the Streetbox is the ideal tool for local authorities, contractors and developers to allow indicative monitoring in areas where problems are expected, such as traffic black spots and boundary problems.
The Streetbox provides unobtrusive measurements of urban pollution levels and is designed primarily for gathering ambient pollution trend information and is particularly useful for baseline studies.
Ashtead’s General Manager James Carlyle, said: “This new partnership will enable local authorities and environmental professionals to hire the latest ambient air quality monitoring products. Portable and easy to use, the Streetbox is ideal for short-term installations. By hiring air quality monitoring equipment, customers can avoid the capital
expenditure of buying outright and do not have to worry about any calibration or maintenance issues because all of our products arrive ready to use out of the box.”
John Corner, from Signal Group, added: “We are delighted with our new official partnership with Ashtead Technology Rentals and look forward to combining our expertise and skills. It will mean our customers will be able to rent these products instead of buying outright and experience the many benefits that this will bring.”
With an internal memory capacity of 500Kb for several months of data storage, the StreetBox has the ability to record up to 2 gases including CO, NO, NO2 and SO2. An alternative version is able to additionally measure PM10 particulate with a sensitivity of
1ìg/m3.
