100 years of MCERTS experience

Siris Environmental Ltd have been active in waste water flow measurement and sampling for over 40 years. Sunderland based, Siris operate over the entire UK in the design, supply and installation of flow measurement systems and the subsequent servicing and calibration.

Having supplied hundreds of flow systems to industrial customers charged for their effluent discharge based upon the flow meter readings, in addition to this expertise has been used by water companies in the design of primary flow devices such as flumes and weir systems.

Since the inception of the Mcerts site certification scheme. Siris has had an active involvement with framework agreements for their services with Northumbrian Water, Yorkshire Water and Anglian Water as well as working with Northern Ireland water.

With four experienced Mcerts inspectors, they are currently training a further two.

Training is a time consuming process with the inspectors not only having to have a knowledge the various flow measurement processes and systems but also be familiar with the design criteria to meet BS, ISO and Mcerts requirements. In addition, they must also attain site sufficient experience to be able to make judgement calls against installations that do not fully meet the appropriate standards. This experience can only be gained over many years of dealing with flow measurement in all of its forms and applications.
