Siemens (Germany) has launched its MultiRanger 200 and HydroRanger 200 ultrasonic controllers offering new features which include faster commissioning with an improved HMI (Human machine interface) and graphical Quick Start Wizard as well as a redesigned enclosure with removable terminal blocks. The controllers also offer a wider range of communication options including Profibus DPV1 industrial protocol.

MultiRanger 200 and HydroRanger 200 are both used in many branches of industry with applications ranging

from water/wastewater monitoring via pumping stations or open channels, to inventory management of chemicals or liquids and truck loadouts.

The controllers provide highperformance measurement of level, flow, differential level, and volume conversion, with additional alarm and pump control functions. MultiRanger 200 and HydroRanger 200 provide users with repeatable, fast, and reliable measurements ments. The patented signal processing technology Sonic Intelligence, for instance, differentiates between true and false echoes which can be caused by electrical noise.
