3M to Market Range of Sewerin Water Leak Detection Products

Dr. Swen Sewerin, CEO of Hermann Sewerin GmbH, and Rory Yanchek, General Manager 3M Track and Trace Solutions, signed an agreement for a global marketing alliance at 3M’s corporate headquarters in St. Paul,

Minnesota (USA). At the heart of this agreement is the inclusion of a range of SEWERIN water leak detection products in the sales portfolio of 3M Track and Trace Solutions.

Both partners expect this strategic alliance to boost their sales performance. Rory Yanchek is confident that the cooperation with SEWERIN will open up the water leak detection market for 3M: "We are excited about the launch of water leak detection solutions in the global water market. This is an important market segment for 3M, and this alliance helps provide our utility customers better access to our products and solutions".

Dr. Sewerin believes that 3M’s global distribution network, with branches in more than 65 countries, will give real impetus to sales of SEWERIN systems. "We expect sales of the products included in the 3M portfolio to multiply, bringing a sustained improvement in our competitiveness worldwide." In countries other than the USA, the selected water leak detection products will be marketed as OEM products under the 3M brand. In the USA the products will be sold under both the Sewerin and the 3M brands under a dual-label concept.
