Labman (UK) is a Northeast business that specialises in the design and build of bespoke automated systems.

For the water industry, projects to date include: customised BOD, COD, PhysChem and Aquakem robots, as well as the enhancement of processes including data capture, sample reception, logistics, tracking and analysis, right through to automating an entire water laboratory, as was achieved at Vitens in the Netherlands.

An exciting addition to the company portfolio for 2014 is ELF, a bench-top Automated Laboratory Filtration robot. ELF semi-automates the process of filtering small volumes of wastewater, ready for all variety of testing. As well as minimising contact with often unpleasant samples and the risk of RSI, ELF can also represent significant savings to a lab both; in terms of both consumables and time.

To see ELF in operation, and for more information about any of their work, please visit Labman at stand 39.
