A Preview of WWEM 2022 with Oliver Grievson
Aug 10 2022
It’s not long now until this year’s Water and Wastewater Monitoring (WWEM) conference, to be held live in Telford on 12th and 13th October – but that’s more than enough time for you to register to attend! If you’re new to WWEM or wondering just what's on offer this time around, one of our reporters sat down with one of the people responsible for WWEM 2022’s stellar programme, Oliver Grievson.
It’s a programme that both builds some of the events that have kept attendees returning to WWEM over the years whilst continuing to meet the newer needs of this ever-changing sector. For instance, the much-loved Learning Zone, now featuring three dedicated rooms hosting a range of master-classes, focussed on flow monitoring, quality monitoring and communications.
Then, there’s the Development Zone, presented by CIWEM, the Institute of Environmental Science and the Institute of Measurement and Control, where you’ll learn all the skills need to take your career to the next level, like how to get your professional charter or register as a technician member. These sessions aim to provide industry with vital skills, as well as helping attendees move forward in their working lives.
A very important tool for the future of water monitoring, digital transformation has taken the UK by storm, with more and more dedicated conferences popping up over the last few years. At WWEM 2022, BIM4Water will host a digital skills day, and SWAN Forum is partnering with the event to provide up-to-the-minute educational content. Plus, come and take a look at the digital stage for all of the latest products and innovations in this rapidly developing field.
And there’s even more good news: this is just the beginning of what’s on offer at WWEM 2022! To get the full picture, just watch the video above.
