AQUALABO (France) is proud to present its new PONSEL brand MES5 digital sensor, which can measure the concentration of suspended solids (g/L), turbidity (FAU) and sludge blanket detection in % of IR transmission for applications in urban/industrial waste water treatment (Inlet/ sewage water (SS, Turbidity), aeration basins (SS), clarifiers (Sludge blanket), outlets (turbidity), sludge treatment processes (optimisation of the centrifugation), and dredging sites (turbidity)..
The measurement principle of of the new MES5 numerical sensor is based on the mitigation of the Infra-Red signal in 870 nm through an optical path of 5mm (absorptiometry). For higher precision, the optics of the sensors are regulated in temperature.
The new PONSEL sensor is digital and developed to compensate for ambient interferance to the rmeasurement. Unlike analogue sensors, there is no long a risk risk of losing data due to long lengths of cable: This new sensor offers rest assured reliability and technological optimisation and traceability of the sensor’s condition, all calibration data and the history and the users are directly recorded by the MES5.
The open communication protocol allows one to connect the MES digital sensor to every type of recorder, transmitter, system of remote processing or automaton system with Modbus RS485 or SDI12. Thanks to the indexation of the sensor, more than 200 sensors can be connected on a recorder.
The range of PONSEL digital sensors also measure pH (PHEHT sensor), redox potential (EHAN sensor), conductivity (C4E and CTZN based on inductive method sensors), dissolved oxygen (optical OPTOD sensor) and turbidity (Nephelometric NTU sensor).
