AMS Equipment Limited are proud to bring to market the Remote Optical Watcher (ROW). The ROW is an autonomous, non-contact sensor that detects oil on water in real time. It uses oil’s natural fluorescence to detect anything from crude oil spills to marine diesel to jet fuel, and alerts you immediately.

It is highly accurate and responds instantly, day or night, allowing you to react before things get out of hand.

Pressurised with nitrogen to prevent condensation and water ingress to the aluminum enclosure the ROW is IP68 certified. This makes the ROW completely water resistant, lowers the need for maintenance and delivers years of worry-free use.

Low power consumption of <2W allows for remote operation with optional solar panels and battery. ROW sensors are also fitted with a self-check mechanism which will let you know if there is a problem.

The ROW is designed to be a neutral observer so that even in a potentially explosive environment contaminated by oil products, ROW will not emit anything that could spark a fire.

As well as detecting Oil on Water there is another version of the ROW which is able to detect chlorophyll and algae bloom.
