Advanced solution for pool water analysis

15 Jul, 2025

For more than 20 years, Water-i.d. GmbH has been shaping your daily pool water analysis to be highly user-friendly, simple, and efficient. Through continuous quality control and customer-oriented further development via our in-house research and development, we guarantee consistently outstanding quality of our products for monitoring your pool water—and thereby the health of all swimmers.

With the release of our PoolLab 1.0 back in 2017, we already offered the ability to measure 13 different water parameters with minimal effort. Its successor, the PoolLab 2.0, is the logical evolution and, in addition to the proven features of its predecessor, introduces a 3-chamber cuvette allowing for the simultaneous measurement of three parameters. Furthermore, 11 additional parameters can be measured, bringing the total to 24.

Even with the PoolLab 1.0, it was easy to transfer measurement data via Bluetooth to a PC, iOS, or Android smartphone. With the PoolLab 2.0, this is of course still possible, but now also optionally via WiFi.

The PrimeLab 2.0 is the perfect solution for professional water analysis under laboratory conditions. This is an extremely powerful hand-held photometer that is capable of detecting up to 18 different wavelengths from IR to UV in parallel. More than 140 different water parameters can be determined, with corresponding LEDs positioned at both 180° and 90° to enable NTU turbidity, PTSA and fluorescein measurements. Very narrow peaks between 390 and 950 nm enable highly accurate detection, bringing the device's performance close to that of spectrophotometers. The device's firmware can interpolate between these wavelengths, while some parameter curves are set to use multiple wavelengths for the most accurate test results. An 8.400 mAh battery guarantees satisfactory runtimes even when there is no power outlet nearby. By using a high-resolution 5.5-inch colour display with capacitive touch function, the control panel also looks very similar to modern smartphones and can be operated in the same way. The measurement process is shown on the display in a simple step-by-step guide, making it easier for the user to take measurements. The device also has a built-in camera which can be used to scan QR-codes, printed on Water-i.d.® reagent packages. This makes every measurement even more comfortable and prevents user mistakes.

Another key feature of the PrimeLab 2.0 is the option to use various electrochemical probes to also cover electrochemical water parameters such as pH, TDS, electrical conductivity, ORP and, in addition, the temperature of the water being analysed. Thanks to its seamless integration into the existing PrimeLab 2.0 system, it is extremely easy to use. The ProbeBOX 1.0 module can be used to connect electrodes from our portfolio by connecting them to the PrimeLab 2.0 itself or even to any USB-C-supported Android® smartphone or tablet.

In combination with all three photometers, you can effortlessly use the free software and cloud solutions that are part of our proprietary LabCOM® software family. This includes especially developed versions for all the compatible devices mentioned, as well as a web application for your preferred browser. Measurement results can easily be assigned to your custom measurement sources, edited, or statistically analysed. If you need to export your results, this can be done with a simple click in your desired file format using the LabCOM® software.

We also offer the right solution for every type of user—even for semi-professional applications. With our Easy Dip test strips, you can obtain initial values for all common water parameters simply by dipping. Our Flexi Testers and PoolTesters, in combination with our in-house produced reagents, offer even more precise and still very quick testing methods, based on a visual comparison using specifically developed color scales.

Good things deserve to be seen – we look forward to welcoming you at our exhibition booths at the upcoming ARAB LAB (Dubai, UAE), aquanale (Cologne, Germany), and PISCINA (Barcelona, Spain) this year. Get hands-on with our innovative devices and let yourself be convinced by our unmatched combination of simplicity and versatility.
