Leak Detection
INIR2 and INIR4 - for leakage detection of refrigerant gases
Feb 24 2023
Cheaper, more efficient and the most important: more environmentally friendly - this is how we could briefly describe the advantages of the refrigerant R32 over R410A. With a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of 675, it has a much lower environmental impact, but the impact is still negative. This is why, for us and our planet safety, early detection of even the smallest leak of R32 gas is so important.
As SGX Sensortech, we would like to introduce you our latest INIR2 and INIR4 sensors for leakage detection of refrigerant gases with low Global Warming Potential (GWP).
The INIR2 and INIR4 are user friendly digital Gas Sensors, which are designed to use the latest SGX Sensortech's infrared technology. They are primarily designed for the purpose of the gas leakage detection in both industrial and residential environments. Designed with the latest generation of power efficient microcontrollers allows for high flexibility and functionality. Temperature compensation, good accuracy and simple implementation into end user system make this sensor a perfect solution for gas leakage detection.
About R32 gas
The refrigerant R32 (difluoromethane) is used in air conditioning systems and is increasingly replacing R410A. Refrigerant manufacturers and industry organizations also recommend switching to R32 as soon as possible. Its unquestionable advantage, which has undoubtedly contributed to its rapid rise in popularity, is the substance's very low environmental impact. The global warming potential (GWP) of R32 is almost three times lower than that of the R410A it displaces. In addition, when filling the equipment, the amount of agent used can be reduced by up to 30% compared to the R410A it displaces, making it significantly more environmentally friendly. Thanks to this parameter, it is also possible to reduce the size of pipelines and increases the efficiency of the entire system. Another advantage of R32 gas is its cost, which is approximately 20% lower than R410A gas.
