The INSPECTRA® Laser, developed by GAZOMAT™, is designed for gas leak detection on natural gas distribution networks. Applicable to both on-foot personnel and monitoring by vehicle, the tool uses high performance laser diode spectroscopy technology with a multipass cell.
This unique approach to gas leak detection offers operators a number of major benefits in terms of reliability and accuracy:
The INSPECTRA Laser also comes with a complete set of accessories for additional applications such as monitoring of natural gas compression plants, methanation plants, landfills, as well as for laboratory use.
Engineered for the variety of unique challenges faced by today’s gas operators, including the pressing demands for survey safety and traceability, the INSPECTRA Laser was engineered as an integral part of a larger detection system, including tools such as NGS Network Survey Software, Bluetooth® enabled GPS tablets, and the Easy INSPECTRA network survey vehicle.
Through simple, intuitive interfacing and a powerful GPS system, the INSPECTRA Laser leak detection system allows operators to track all pertinent gas leak data: precise GPS location, date and time, events, and operator comments. All survey data, and the related downloaded maps (network, road maps, etc.), are securely recorded to be consulted or retrieved at a later time.
In addition to the immediate value of the INSPECTRA Laser technology and greater leak detection system, GAZOMAT has also introduced a novel survey concept that permits switching between pedestrian and vehicular detection at any time during the survey, without the need for additional equipment, and without sacrificing detection and traceability. This major advancement in survey capability will help gas utilities gain in productivity and efficiency while lowering costs.
