Gas detection
smartGAS recently launched the GD TCD, a high-performance thermal conductivity analyser for precise hydrogen measurement in demanding industrial environments. Designed for speed, accuracy and reliability, it detects homonuclear gases such as H₂, N₂ and noble gases, even in complex, non-binary mixtures.
Ideal for real-time hydrogen monitoring in production, storage, and process control, the GD TCD detects a wide range of gases, including CO₂, CH₄, He, Ar, and O₂, from trace levels to 100 Vol%. An optional electrochemical cell enables simultaneous oxygen analysis.
The GD TCD offers IP65 protection, pressure resistance up to 20 bar, and operation from -20°C to +50°C. Quick response (T90 <1s), multiple outputs (RS232, 4–20 mA, 0–10 V, relays), and advanced compensation algorithms ensure stability across various conditions.
Applications include environmental monitoring, hydrogen systems, chemical, and energy process control. Compact and low-maintenance, the GD TCD easily integrates into OEM platforms or standalone systems, offering a dependable, future-ready solution.
