Gas Monitor Offers Durability and Flexibility for Water Treatment Systems
Mar 08 2012
Water purification, the process of removing undesirable chemicals, biological contaminants, suspended solids and gases from contaminated water, is typically done for a specific purpose. Most water is purified for drinking, but may also be done for many other purposes, including medical, pharmacology, chemical and industrial applications.
The addition of a small amount of chlorine or chlorine dioxide helps to preserve water quality during the purification process. Generally the gases monitored during water treatment are Cl2, ClO2, and O3.
Oldham’s (France) CTX 300 is an ideal product for water treatment systems, designed for all safety needs in unclassified areas. The CTX300 is enclosed in a high-grade, explosion-proof plastic housing, with an IP 66 rating (making it resistant to corrosion, and economical to purchase). Its heavy-duty advanced design makes it highly durable in harsh environments. The CTX 300 includes a 4-20 mA output analogue transmitter with optional backlit display as well as plug-in and pre-calibrated sensors. This monitor works with electrochemical, infrared or semi-conductor sensors - an IR version is available to monitor CO2. Detection The CTX 300 can carry out the detection of O2, CO2, toxic and refrigerant gases and it works with more than 30 different sensors.
