Series 3000 Xpis Transmitter Detects Toxic Gases and Oxygen.....

June 2008 - Series 3000 From Honeywell Analytics

The Series 3000 XPIS transmitter detects toxic gases and Oxygen and is ideal for retrofitting other 2-wire devices including the Series 2000 range of 2 wire toxic gas transmitters. With a flameproof hazardous area approval, it can be wired alongside field wiring that doesn’t have an IS certification, removing the need for cable segregation.

Key Features:

2-wire 4-20mA format – ideal for retrofitting
Uses pre-calibrated smart sensor technology allowing for ‘hot swap’
Intrinsically Safe combined with Flameproof Hazardous Area approval
Remote sensor mounting: up to 15m (50 ft) away
Magnetic switches permit configuration and calibration without the need to open the enclosure or obtain a hot work permit
ATEX, UL and CSA certified
Gases available: Oxygen, Hydrogen Sulphide, Carbon Monoxide, Ammonia and Sulphur Dioxide

Sensepoint RFD

The Sensepoint RFD (Remote Flammable Detector) allows sensors to be mounted remotely up to 45m / 147 feet away from the transmitter and its display. This configuration is essential for applications where the sensor is mounted in locations where temperatures are well above ambient (up to 150oC / 302oF) or where the transmitter would not be visible to plant personnel. The device interfaces with Honeywell Analytics or third party controllers via a 3-wire linear 4-20mA output.

Key Features:

3 wire 4-20mA format
Suited for use with remotely mounted high temperature sensors (e.g. sensors certified up to 150°C / 302°F)
Uses Sensepoint and 705 range of high temperature flammable sensors
Intrinsically Safe infrared controller: No need to open enclosure or obtain hot work permit
Remote sensor mounting: up to 45m (147 ft) away
ATEX and UL certified
