Southern Scientific offers high quality tritium measurement in the UK

Southern Scientific has been appointed as the exclusive European agent for Tyne Engineering, a Canadian company that has been providing high-quality tritium detection systems since its incorporation in 1983.

Through Tyne Engineering Southern Scientific now supplies in the UK a wealth of expertise and experience in tritium handling and measurement, providing air and surface activity monitors, passive diffusion cells, inline ionization chambers and full tritium handling and extraction systems to the nuclear, medical, pharmaceutical and waste management industries.

Two instruments that Southern Scientific considers of particular relevance to the UK market are a unique surface activity monitor that uses an open ionization chamber to directly measure tritium surface contamination and a tritium breath monitor that is much more convenient than taking urine samples and is therefore likely to highlight a problem more quickly.
