Restek Corporation has been named #23 in the large-sized company category on the 2020 list of Best Places to Work in  Pennsylvania. This marks the 4th time Restek has placed on the list.

The Best Places to Work in PA is a survey and awards program dedicated to identifying and recognising the state’s best employers and providing organisations with valuable employee feedback. The process is managed by Best Companies Group (BCG), and winners are published by the Central Penn Business Journal.

“We envision all employees enjoying coming to work as much as they enjoy going home, regardless of where they work,” President Bryan Wolcott said—carrying on the vision Paul Silvis had when he founded Restek in 1985. “We believe that happy, healthy, and wise employees will serve our customers best, allowing us to be innovative and flexible with our company, our products, our internal systems, and our service to all. The valuable employee feedback from The Best Places to Work survey allows us to make changes in areas that are important to employees,” added Wolcott.

The Best Places to Work winners are chosen based on who receives the highest combined scores in a twofold evaluation: a review of a company’s workforce policies, practices, philosophies, systems, and demographics along with the results of an employee survey measuring their satisfaction.

Some of the programs Restek has in place to foster this positive atmosphere include a 100% employee-owned ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan); generous PTO and STO policies; an incentive-based wellness program; on-site fitness and recreational facilities with wellness coaches; company contributions toward childcare costs; reimbursement for continuing education and development programs; 401K and employee- ownership programs; open-book management; a peer+ recognition program; and a strong commitment toward community service.
