Recently developed by Michell Instruments (UK), the Easidew TX I.S. Transmitter offers a minimal footprint while maintaining exceptional performance and reliability. The new transmitter can be connected in a 2-Wire loop powered or 3-Wire configuration. It features a white HDPE sinter, designed to provide a visual indication of sensor contamination. The new sintered guard provides protection to less than 10 micron and is impermeable to liquids The Easidew TX I.S. is certified by ATEX and FM Approvals for use in hazardous areas. The certification lists five different galvanic isolators and allows customers to choose the most suitable isolator for their own on-site requirements.
This intrinsically safe transmitter has powerful processing capability allowing for the first time, the on-board calculation of ppm(v) moisture content in selectable ranges from 0 to 3000ppm. Application software allows the user to configure output parameters, ranges and scaling.
The key to the transmitter’s performance is its sensor technology. Michell Instruments’ Advanced Ceramic Moisture Sensor is coupled with advanced microprocessor-based measurement circuitry to produce a fully calibrated and interchangeable sensor transmitter. All calibration data is stored within the transmitter’s memory and so calibration exchange, or service, can be effected in seconds, even by untrained personnel. The Easidew TX I.S. is simply disconnected, removed from its sampling block and replaced by a new fully calibrated unit.
The Easidew TX I.S. the perfect choice for measurement of dew point or moisture content. Specific applications include CNG (compressed natural gas) dryers, hydrogen coolant in power stations, industrial/hazardous gas manufacture and supply and many more.
