The new MDM50 portable hygrometer, from Michell Instruments (USA), provides quick dew point for compressed air - the T95 from saturation to -35 ° C dew point is typically <5 minutes. Its design allows extremely quick and simple random sampling of the dew point in air and gases.

At the heart of the MDM50 is a new generation of polymer sensor elements that have been trimmed to provide long-term stability and resistance to many chemicals. Therefore the MDM50 is especially suitable for use in industrial applications where heavy contamination can be a problem. In addition to the robust sensor and integrated particulate filter is the corresponding NEMA 6 (IP68) protective case.

For easy operation, a complete sampling system with filtration and flow control is already integrated. Sample gases are connected via the quick coupling or Swagelok screw and turned, ready to use! The MDM50 shows the dew point value at system pressure or atmospheric within a short time, easy and always reliable.

The MD50 is as practical as it is easy to use, as it is optimised for the measurement range of -50 to + 20 ° C dew point (display range -60 / + 60 ° C dew point). Weighing just 4 kg, it is robust and yet fully portable. The long operating time of 16 hours also makes it possible to use in places where there is no mains electricity for extended periods of time. Typical applications are in addition to the dew point in compressed air dryers and the moisture measurement in medical gases, to plastic drying plants and for monitoring the quality of instrument air at various consumption points.

Michell Instruments will be in Hall 1, Stand 1-460 at SENSOR+TEST 2016.
