Organic and inorganic nitrogen compounds in the sample are oxidized by a high-power UV lamp. Digestion is complete within 15 minutes, as compared to the 60 minutes refluxing needed for a manual laboratory analysis. As the UV digestion completely oxidizes organic compounds to water, carbon dioxide and nitrate, interfering substances are eliminated.

NEW FROM Bran Luebbe GmbH

The nitrate produced by the on-line UV digestion is measured by
direct absorbance, no reduction or color reagents are needed. The
DiaMon’s diode array UV-vis spectrophotometer measures a
complete spectrum, allowing accurate concentration values to be
calculated for different samples.
A single DiaMon can perform multiple-parameter analysis in the
same sample. Common measurement combinations are:
• NH4 / NO3 / PO4 / SAK / CSB
• NH4 / NO3
• NH4 / NO3 / NO2 / PO4 / TOC
Many installed systems take advantage of the DiaMon’s
capability of remote control via modem. The new “Doswin
Remote” software enables users to run the DiaMon and check
sample concentration directly from a PC installed in an office
or control room. If needed, it will be feasible to get a regular
remote monitoring by a Bran+Luebbe service technician. Via
modem it will be possible for the technician to examine the
measurement results for you.
