The new Jerome J505 Mercury Vapour Analyser is a portable fluorescence spectroscopy analyser with a range of 0.05ug to 500ug Hg. The J505 incorporates a detection cell design which is simpler, smaller, lighter weight and more robust than competing spectroscopy instruments.
The highly efficient optical cell requires less flow to purge the system, allowing the J505 to run at low flow rates, therefore significantly reducing the sample dilution requirements associated with rival instruments. A low flow rate is vital for making accurate readings at low and very low mercury concentrations.
The analyser is fully calibrated to internationally traceable standards ensuring accuracy across the entire concentration range of the sensor. An on-board data logging capability eliminates the need for manual recording of sample data, minimises the amount of time personnel need to spend in contaminated areas and provides excellent traceability of results, which are displayed alongside date, time, location and ambient temperature data. A programmable auto-sampling mode facilitates unattended monitoring over extended periods.
