Max Analytical Technologies has introduced Max-iRTM, a new range of FTIR gas analysers for ambient air and source testing applications. Incorporating several powerful technologies, the Max-iRTM can achieve single digit ppb detection for various hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) simultaneously, while maintaining all the benefits of real-time FTIR monitoring.

Built around a small, rugged, high-throughput interferometer, with 24-bit ADC integrated detector modules, Max-iRTM allows for exceptional signal-to-noise performance, without the need for liquid nitrogen cooling. The long-term reliability of the analyser is also enhanced by a long-life VCSEL laser diode, for tracking interferometer displacement, and SiC infrared source. Integrated temperature and pressure sensors provide increased precision for the most demanding applications and dual-level vibrational damping allows the analyser to operate in challenging field environments.

Max-iRTM is available in a variety of application-specific configurations, with a choice of three detectors, two gas cells, and optional integrated computer/display. Max-AcquisitionTM and Max-AnalyticsTM software is included with each Max-iRTM system and provides advanced factory integration tools, high-speed identification of compounds and accurate, stable measurements without the need for calibration.
